Bulletin Board

    Congratulations to graduating senior Tim Koss!  A major in Russian Studies and Economics, Tim has become the first W&L student to have received a post-graduate fellowship from the International Research and Exchanges Board (IREX), which is the principal agency that funds Americans' research in Russia.  Tim will spend the 2001-2002 academic year in Russia as an IREX Young Leaders Fellow studying environmental issues, working on an internship, and performing a community service project.

    Professor Anna Brodsky will be on sabbatical leave during the fall 2001 term.  Her courses Russian 301 and 315 will be taught by Visiting Professor Olga Dunaevskaia from Moscow.  Professor Dunaevskaia served as the university's Russian Language Assistant several years ago.

    Professor Sascha Goluboff will be offering The Anthropology of Eurasia (Anthropology 260) during the fall 2001 term.  Russian Studies majors should note that this course is taught only once every two years.
