Welcome! I teach survey courses (lecture and discussion) on the European Middle Ages, the Italian Renaissance and the Reformation, and seminars on political thought, church history, Dante and Machiavelli. My special area of interest is the Italian Renaissance, and I publish on religion, politics, and the church in Renaissance Florence.
