Instructions for Web Journals
How and Where to Save
For examples, see Index of Web Sites
'99 project but note that you don't have to worry about color coding,
saving in HTML, etc.
As a cover sheet to your exercise include the following for
each of your WEB sites in this precise order.
-
Your name at top
-
then topic of research
For each entry then include the following
-
Name of site and address (make sure address is copied correctly so it will
be active!)
-
then a one line summary. This is especially important if the title of the
Page doesn’t reveal much about the content. The summaries should be in
English if an English site, Spanish if Spanish site.
Saving:
-
Save this particular page as a separate file in the "turn in" folder for
our class on the L:drive. Name your file: lastname1 (example:
smith1.wpd or doe1.doc... the ".doc" and the ".wpd" refer to Word
or Word Perfect, etc.)
-
Save your exercise in the same place with the same naming convention, except
this time save it as: lastname2.doc (example: smith2.doc or smith2.wpd)
Where to Save
-
To save your file, close the application and then "drop and drag" into
our folder on the L:drive using My Computer. If you need help
dropping your file into our class folder take a look at the sample
instructions for (SPAN 207) or ask the Help Desk at x4357.
