Mathematical Interests
- I study properties of functions belonging to the following
natural classes: harmonic functions (which
include potential functions for, say, electric fields),
linear functions (the derivative is an example), and
analytic functions (which, for instance, can be used to
determine the lift generated by an airfoil). I am
especially interested in the behavior of functions under
iteration whether it be chaotic or predictable.
Physics Interests
- I study how quantum entanglement may be used as a communications resource, investigating, e.g., superdense coding with partially entangled quantum particles and entanglement enhancement of noisy classical communications channels.
