Lee: Beyond the Battles

Pyromania: A twenty minute film on local Blacksmith and Metal Sculptor Lee Sauder. Lee and his friend Skip Williams mastered the age-old art of iron smelting. Lee and Skip foraged the area and harvested iron from the areas around the many abandoned iron mines that dot the mountains of Rockbridge, Augusta and Alleghany Counties. Lee Operates Woods Creek Forge on McLaughlin St. in Lexington.

New Orleans: A Place Nobody Knows: A twenty minute film following ten intrepid volunteers from Lexington and Rockbridge County on a Mission trip to New Orleans. The excursion was made under the auspices of the Episcopal Diocese of Louisiana and Operation Golden Rule. The film features interviews with the volunteers and victims of Hurricane Katrina. Music was supplied by area musicians Doug Cumming, Dan Newhall, Laurie Lipscomb and Chris Leva.

My Roots and Family
A native of Rochester, New York, I emigrated to Lexington and Washington and Lee in 1977 from Columbus, Mississippi where I worked for WCBI-TV and Mississippi University for Women.
