I am a historically
informed analytic philosopher. I teach in the core areas
of analytic philosophy, especially logic, metaphysics, and philosophy of
language. I also teach in the history of philosophy, especially American
pragmatism, early-modern philosophy, and Kant. I have taught an intensive course
on philosophy of time travel and am now developing one on philosophy and
science fiction. I research at the
intersection of philosophy of language, epistemology, early modern
philosophy, and metaphysics. In over a dozen publications I have explored how
meaning and conceptual change interplay in a Kantian framework. I am now
synthesizing these themes into Kantian Conceptual Geography. Courses
