The Art and Science of Perfume
This course will
examine the nature of the nose from mucous to the fashion industry.

Term paper: Each student is required
to complete a major term paper on some aspect of smell or perfumery by March
30. The paper will count 30% of your
final grade and should be prepared in APA style. Adherence to APA style will
count 10% of the paper's grade. Late papers
will be penalized one letter grade per day.
Tests: There will be two tests: A take home midterm
exam which will be given February 24 and due March 2. The take home final exam is due by
Presentation: Each student is required to make a 30-45 min. oral presentation
on their term paper. 10% towards the final grade
Grades: Final grades will be assigned on the
following scale.
A 100 - 90
excellent
B 89 - 80
good
C 79 - 70
average
D 69 - 60
poor
