Kant's infamous essay Über Ein Vermeintes Recht Aus Menschenliebe Zu Lügen (On A Supposed Right to Lie from Human Kindness) was published in the September 1797 issue of the Berliner Blätter. It was included in the 12-volume scholarly edition of his works edited by Karl Rosenkrantz and Friedrich Wilhelm Schubert, Immanuel Kant's Sämmtliche Werke (Leipzig, Leopold Voss, 1838-42), in Vol. VII, Part I, Immanuel Kant's Kleine Anthropologisch-Praktische Schriften (1838).
