My dear General,

Your letter was received, and I have ordered the furniture as you desired.  The table was on the original order as I gave it to Remmick, & also the chamber chairs.

He omitted them in the same way but I knew nothing about it until I heard from you.

I was put to an inconvenience in attending to the commission and hope you will consider that it will always give me pleasure to serve you in any way I can.

Please present my best respects to Mrs Lee and the rest of your family.
