Sir
Enclosed
please find a “carte” of one of the finest “Black Hawk” Stallions in the
country. We have a certificate from
David Hill Esq the owner of “Old Black Hawk” stating that this horse takes
more after the Old Horse than any of his numerous progeny.
Several of “Patrick Henry’s” colts have sold at 4 years old from
fifteen hundred to Seven Thousand dollars – The last named colt is now held at
ten thousand. It would be a great
pleasure to me to give you one of his colts, and if you desire one, and can send
a man here you shall have one.
With the highest regard & esteem
Your Obt Servant
