York April 20 1866
Robert E. Lee
My nephew Saml. D. Tonge of Bainbridge Georgia has been at School for
some months past at Troy N. Y. & his father desires, now, that he shall go
to your College, provided you receive boys of his age.
He is about fifteen, not very far advanced having lived in Georgia up to
the close of the war.
I would be obliged if you would, at your earliest convenience, cause to
be sent to me one of your circulars giving terms etc & I am Sir
Yours Very Respty.
