My dear Rob
I have just returned from a visit to your Uncle Carters & among my letters find one from some of your comrades to you, which I enclose. I was happy to discover from the -------- that it was ---------for me. I found Agnes quite sick, & have sent for the Dr as I do not know what to do for her. Poor little thing she seems quite prostrated. Custis I am told (Page 2) is better. He is still at the Cockes - The rest of us well. I saw several of your comrades, Cockes, Kennans & Gilliams, who inquired after you all. I give my love to F__ & Johnny, in which all here unite, &
believe me much love
& affection
