Letter of 24 MAR 1870 written at Washington College to
Mrs. Ann L. Jones in follow-up to his letter of 16 MAR 1870 in the matter of two
prospective students for the College. Advises
that the portrait of Chief Justice Marshall will be accepted and in turn her
nephew will be given Aboard,
room rent and fuel for two years and in money that will make the $500.@ Looks
forward to seeing her son and young Marshall in the opening of the session -15
SEPT 1870.
