Gen. R. E. Lee-
My dear Sir-
I have been informed, but in quite indefinite terms, that what is called a “Scholarship” at Washington College, can be procured for $500 & that entitles one to the nomination of one student for a certain number of years; also that the expense for every succeeding year is limited. Will you be kind enough to send me full information on the subject?
I have a young brother (17 yrs) whom I am anxious to send to you. Have you circulars or catalogues? With considerations of the highest regard I am, Sir,
Very Respectfully Yr Obt Sevrt
Henry Stone, M.D.
