Lexington is a small town, located in the
southwestern part of Virginia. The population is approximately 7,000.
There are two univerisities in town. One is Washington and Lee University
which was founded in 1749. It is the 6th oldest university in the U.S. It
used to be a male school but in 1985 it became co-ed.
The other school is Virginia Military Institute. Their campus is
right next to Washington and Lee's. These two schools are quite
different in every aspect.
The town itself is relatively old and has interesting history. Back to Home Page
