Lesson 29 Translation Practice (3/26 月曜日)

1. A:Would you like to go to drink beer (or something) this evening?

B: I'd love to, but I can't. I was told to quit alcohol by a doctor.

A: Oh, that's too bad. Then, please try not to drink at all.

2. A:What language do you use in class?

B: We are supposed to use only Japanese, but when we cannot ask questions in Japanese, we ask in English.

3. A:How many times a week do you do exercise?

B:I've made it a rule to do exercise five times a week. I run 3 times and play golf twice a week.

A:Is that so? Then, I'll (make an effort) to run 3 times a week, too.

4. Please tell Mr. Tanaka to come to the office by 10:00 a.m. tomorrow morning.
